  • Participated with other volunteer consultants working on a number of management consulting projects for the benefit of nonprofit organizations.

Volunteer Dispatcher

  • Managed and dispatched rides which included scheduling telephoned rides from customers, preparing daily manifests, assigning rides to drivers and communicating with drivers during their shifts. 

 

Weatherford International – Manama, Bahrain – 2008 – 2009

Assistant to the Regional Manager of Training and Development Unit

  • Provided general administrative support to the regional manager of training and development unit.  Support included but not limited to: drafting and managing correspondence, scheduling appointments and maintaining training calendar.

  • Designed and established a filing system for the employees working on the oil rigs, throughout Weatherford operating regions, to track their development records.

  • Manage activities related to implementing training events, from creating invites, managing enrollment and planning and coordinating logistics.

 

Saudi Aramco - Dhahran, Saudi Arabia – 1980 - 2007

Performance Improvement Consultant – 2002 – 2007

  • Led an Admin Area wide team to Implement Knowledge Management in Engineering Services to safeguard internally-created knowledge and eliminate rework.

  • Developed and conducted ‘Personal Mastery’ workshops to help young employees establish their career goals.

  • Led a number of teams in support of a company-wide engineering improvement initiative to improve the engineering processes and practices across the company.

  • Facilitated bottom-up organization level workshops to review and update the vision, mission and strategies of the organization.

  • Supported the executive team in the development of business and operating plans.

Superintendent Engineering Drawing Services Division – 1994 – 2002

  • Managed the day to day operation of Saudi Aramco Engineering Drawings System which included issuance, review and archival of corporate engineering drawings.

  • Initiated, directed and implemented a process improvement project aimed at automating the engineering drawings management procedures.  Upon completion of the project, the division was able to achieve an impressive staff reduction of 58% (180 to 75 employees.)

  • Led the effort to digitize two million engineering drawings which were previously stored on aperture cards.

Supervisor CAD Support Unit – 1989 – 1994

  • Supervised a staff of 28 engineers with responsibilities of providing technical support for the development and implementation of the company engineering drawings standards.

  • Initiated and supervised the implementation of the Corporate Geographic Information System (GIS).

  • Developed and obtained approval of the unit’s annual budget.

 

Project Engineer – 1980 – 1989

  • Carried out the duties of a field project engineer for the construction of explosive loading facilities.

  • Participated in a one year intern assignment with Mobil Oil Corporation.  Responsibilities included tracking work schedule for the Warf Upgrade Project in Beaumont, Texas.

  • Coordinated the installation and startup of 13 tank gauging units to replace the obsolete system.  Responsibilities included: preparation of the procurement and design specification documents, conducting factory and field acceptance tests and performing field installation.
