Organizational Assessment

It is essential for organizations to conduct periodic reviews of their performance to identify and address areas that fall short of their expectations.  This is done using the following steps:

  1. Identify the outcomes you want to achieve

  2. Examine the current results you are experiencing

  3. Identify and analyze causes for the gap

  4. Develop a plan of action to bridge the gap

  5. Implement the action plan

Organizational assessment can be done on one or more of the following functional areas:

  1. Organizational structure

  2. Strategic leadership

  3. Process management

  4. Financial management

  5. Programs management

  6. Human resources (staff and volunteers)
